This is a super quick post done at….about 1:30…am. I was out grocery shopping the other day and was looking at new foods to try (because that’s something I just love to do) and I came across this. I’m not a fan of peanut butter, but in trying to eat healthier things (on occasion, lol) I decided to give it a try. At first I was going to venture out and buy a whole jar of one flavor, but just as I decided not to I saw the sample packets. What other excuse did I have not to try? Not one.
I used a wheat cracker I found at the same store and this is how I feel about it in short:
Rich and thick. It was definitely better than the peanut butter I’ve had over the years, but I still gave it to Aerie.
Slightly better than the plain peanut butter. I won’t say I noticed a honey flavor so much as it was just sweeter. I also gave this to Aerie.
I’ve never had almond butter before so I was excited about it. I do like it better than peanut butter and I kinda felt like I was eating my cereal because it has almonds in it. I gave this to Aerie, too.
This was better than the plain almond butter. I wouldn’t say maple exactly, but there was a noticeable difference in the flavor. Aerie didn’t get this one…immediately. She’ll probably be finishing it in the morning.
Now for the one I had been waiting to try. Of all of them, this is the one I figured I could buy the large container and not regret it. I’m glad I didn’t. To be honest I was expecting it to taste like nutella. What did it taste like? Exactly what it said: hazelnut butter with chocolate. Too much hazelnut and not enough chocolate. lol Aerie won’t get this one though because I love her. Disclaimer: I wouldn’t give a dog I don’t love chocolate either. Relax.
It seems that each one I tried got progressively better, but I didn’t really like any of them so I’m happy I didn’t take this food risk. Or rather that I took the less expensive version. If you haven’t tried Justin’s I’m sure you’d like this is you like peanut butter. Keep in mind this is a review from someone who doesn’t and was trying something they haven’t eaten in a long time. In the meantime, check out all my social links below! Note: I’d love a nutella recipe if you have one. 🙂
I’m all over the web!
