Easy project for your kitchen décor! Decorate it however you want and put whatever you want in it! Super FAST, I promise.
You don’t need much:
mason jar with removable lid
container of salt
First, use your x-acto knife to cut the top off of the container of salt.
Then use the metal lid as a guide and trace a circle onto the cut lid.
Insert the cut lid into the top of your mason jar in place of the metal lid and you’re done. Yes, it really was that EASY.
For the optional (but probably not optional and really mandatory) steps:
Use the metal lid to trace a circle onto your paper. Tip: you don’t have to use paper, I mean, fabric works well, too. Use your scissors to cut out the circle.
To cut out a hole for the spout, place your paper over the cut lid and use your fingernail to press indentions around the lid. Using your x-acto knife and erring on the side of caution, cut less than what you think you’ll need and fit it over the spout. Cut more if need until you get the right fit.
Use your découpage glue to glue the paper onto the carton lid, then découpage over the paper to seal it. I cut a bit much so I used a scrap piece of paper to place underneath the main circle.
Ta-dah! How cute is that? I’d love to see what you cam up with. Send me pictures or comment below! If you have any questions just let me know.
